JESSICA EATON AT PRESENTATION HOUSE GALLERY

Jessica Eaton

Emily Carr graduate Jessica Eaton has a work that is up for auction at North Vancouver's Presentation House Gallery for their annual fundraiser this September.  Does the image above look familiar?  Well that may be because it was featured in Fiona Ackerman's show "It's Not You, It's Me" from last February.  In this series Fiona painted artist studios, which included Jessica's and her many geometric props used to create this colour photograph.  For further details about the fundraiser, click this link.

Presentation house has 30 years of exhibition under their belt, showing Stan Douglas, Fred Herzog, Ansel Adams and Andy Warhol, and now they are planning an impressive renovation and relocation for 2017.  The new space will remain in North Vancouver,  in the heart of the Lonsdale Quay, easily accessed from downtown via the sea bus.  The new facility will cover 19,000 sq. feet, over twice the space of the current gallery.  This will allow for newer and larger works, and allow for an increased audience for artist talks and events.  We can't wait to see this impressive new building, designed by Vancouver-based firm Patkau Architects.
