UPCOMING EXHIBITIONS AT THE SURREY ART GALLERY

Take a peek of what's coming soon at the Surrey Art Gallery. Always worth a visit, the Surrey Art Gallery is always full of surprises. Their upcoming exhibition comes from the National Gallery of Canada, the exhibition is running at the National Gallery until it comes to Surrey in September. Additionally, the Surey Art Gallery put a call out to local artists who present nature in their work. Put this date in your calender, as these two exhibitions promise to glow with natural beauty, quite literally. 



Flora and Fauna: 400 Years of Artists inspired by nature
Organized by the National Gallery of Canada
September 20th  to December 14th
Opening Reception: September 20th

This Exhibition showcases artworks ranging from late 16th Century Indian watercolouring, 17th century print maker Wenzel Holler and stunning photography from Karl Blosfeltd.  Flora and Fuana captivates viewers with it's spiritual regeneration of nature and showcases extraordinary gardens by Canadian artists.

Cascadia: a Juried Exhibition of West Coast Flora and Fauna 
August 23rd to November 16th, 2014 
Opening Reception: September 20, 7-9pm

Cascadia presents itself along side with the upcoming National Gallery exhibition; Floral and Fauna: 400 years of artists inspired by nature.  This exhibition provides both artists and viewers from this territory to recognize the biological diversity and ecology of the West Coast region.
