Today's Portrait Monday is brought to you by Winsor Gallery, Jennifer Winsor and Dana Claxton. This portrait of Maria Tallchief is one of the feature works in Dana Claxton's recent exhibition at Winsor Gallery. It is a favourite of Jennifer Winsor's as well as many of the visitors to the gallery during the time of the exhibition. Tallcheif was New York's first, First Nations prima-ballerina. This stunning turquoise visioning of her is absolutely striking!
