MOV: SEX TALK IN THE CITY

On now at the Museum of Vancouver is Sex Talk in the City -- a risque but informative exhibition that provides a fresh perspective on how sexuality has shaped Vancouver's culture. Created in conjunction with Options for Sexual Health, the Vancouver Queer Film Festival, the Vancouver School Board, public health experts, activists, sexologists, educators, youth, and historians, it's a truly multifaceted exhibition that shines a light on just how diverse sexual perspectives on still-relevant issues such as gay rights and contraception have been throughout the ages. It's not all schoolroom birds-and-bees talks, however; artifacts such as vintage vibrators and old censorship slogans provide touchstones for a lighter narrative about the sex lives of Vancouverites old and new.

Curiosity piqued? You're in luck: Sex Talk in the City runs until September 2nd.
