CAPILANO UNIVERSITY STUDIO ART GRAD SHOW

Capilano University's annual Studio Art Grad Show comes with bittersweet news: this just might be its last. Due to a 1.3 million dollar defecit, the University is planning to cut its Studio Arts and Textiles departments.

The program, which offers a two-year diploma in specializations from sculpture to painting to media art, is known for schooling its students in visual literacy, problem solving, and the basic skills, materials, and techniques that it takes to jump-start a career in contemporary art. Notable alumni include Nike designer Ashley Vincent and Gallery Gachet director Irwin Oostindie.

Please join us in celebrating and supporting CapU's studio art students and faculty at the opening reception on Saturday, April 27th, from 6-9pm.
