BMO PROJECT ROOM 2013

The BMOArt and Archives Committee has commissioned Sarah Anne Johnson to create new work for the BMO Project Room. BMO invites artists on an annual basis to create work for the Project Room located in Toronto on King Street. We are very much looking forward to seeing what Sarah Anne Johnson creates, the title of the show is Asleep in the Forest.


Johnson's work creates magical, clandestine illusions employing mixed media techniques with photography. She was featured in the Mass MoCA "Oh Canada!" exhibition, which we have blogged about with great enthusiasm previously, as well as in Canadian Art, where her work was described by Nancy Tousley as "a place suspended in a past/present/future time, whose character is in part a pristine wilderness, a theme park and a magnificent, fragile ruin."
