Happy Portrait Monday, everybody!

This week's image is brought to you by the the Winsor Gallery intern, Alex M. F. Quicho, and New York artist Jenny Morgan.

Jenny Morgan's work is at once graceful, soft, figurative, and surreal. Her initially photo-realistic portraits take on new, ghostly dimensions, hinting at hidden layers and mystic parallels in everyday life. In this work in particular, the figure seems already transported to an ethereal dimension. The intersection between traditional oil-based realism and new-age psychedelia is raw, seamless, and unexpected.
