Lending a Helping Hand

Winsor Gallery will be closed for the day on Wednesday, December 7th as gallery staff will be volunteering with the people at the Cause We Care Foundation to stuff food hampers as a part of their Christmas Hamper Drive.


For the past four years, Cause We Care Foundation has supported families led by single mothers by organizing a Christmas Hamper Drive. This year on December 7, 2011 because of generous donations we will help fill and deliver 500 hampers to the most in need and help carry their families through the holiday season.
They are able to keep costs down for hampers by the generosity of the Cambie Street Save-On-Foods Store and, in addition, each hamper recipient will receive a $10 Save-On-Foods Gift Certificate. This special gift is made possible by Save-On-Foods dollar match program $5 for $5.


Cause We Care Foundation is a Vancouver-based registered charity, founded to assist local single mothers and their children in need. Since 2007, they have provided a ‘hand up’ to those dealing with poverty and the everyday challenges it brings. In concert with their volunteer base, they assist families in need within the Greater Vancouver area through a variety of annual outreach initiatives.
